Biography[]

Sad Larry[]

In 'Sad Larry', Larry is having lunch at a cafeteria when he is approached by his friend Tie Guy. Tie Guy tries to be friendly with Larry and shows him some dance moves to cheer him up. When Larry sighs, Tie Guy first frowns, then gets angry and kicks Larry's food tray in his face before walking off saying "I'm sick of your shit, Larry!". Larry proceeds to cry with his face coverd in macaroni.

Sad, Sad Larry[]

Larry is first seen standing at the ledge of a tall building, attempting to commit suicide. He jumps off and smiles while falling, but he lands on the freight of Tough Guy Pillow Movers truck. Larry believes he is in Hell, until he sees that the building he was on was ahout to be demolished, collapsing in a controlled explosion only seconds after he jumped. He sobs as the truck driver calls him a crybaby.

Later that night at his home, his father tells him to get some sleep. Later, he goes into the garage, connects a hose to the car exhaust, gets inside with the other end and closes the windows, again attempting to commit suicide, this time by fume inhalation. While in the car, his father and mother enter the dark garage and have sex on the car hood. Larry is horrified and when his parents see him, they reprimand their son, then continue their activity while Larry tears up.

Larry is later seen trying to hang himself on a ceiling fan while watching the news about a serial killer named the "Delberry Dismemberer". The fan falls on Larry, then the ceiling breaks and a fat man in a tub upstairs falls on him.

Larry was put in the hospital and is in a full body cast since he broke nearly all his bones, with his doctor calling him "lucky" for somehow surviving, unaware of his deathwish. As Larry then watches Ted Bear, the TV suddenly turns off, before he hears screaming, as the Delberry Dismemberer infiltrated the hospital, killing several people. The killer briefly stops and looks at Larry, who readily accepts his death. Instead, the Delberry Dismemberer ignores Larry and kills the patient next to him, causing Larry to cry because he didn’t die.

It's a Sad Christmas, Larry[]

The reason for Larry's depression is possibly explored in It's a Sad Christmas, Larry. In this episode, Larry is first seen sitting in a chair at his friend's house on Christmas morning as his kids open their presents. The mother comes over and offers Larry a Christmas cookie which he unenthusiastically accepts, thanking her. Just then his friend brings over a present revealing that it's for Larry. Larry opens the present to find a pair of fuzzy dice to hang from the rearview mirror of a car and starts crying. His friend awkwardly apologizes, stating that they didn't know his car was totaled in the accident. Larry brushes it off and takes a drink from a mug before reading on it "Daddy's Boy". Sheepishly, his friend states "Oh right, the mug. Sure your dad's in the hospital but you survived right?" which only makes Larry start crying again. His friend dismisses the kids so he can talk to Larry alone and tells Larry that his dad is in the hospital as well and they don't know if they'll make it. However, just then, he gets a call from the hospital saying that his dad is okay and will make it home for Christmas dinner his friend announces the news to his family before apologizing to the crying Larry.

The scene changes to Larry stringing popcorn for decorations which he is thanked for. Just then, the doorbell rings and the Grandfather come in much to the kids' excitement. The old man looks at Larry and states "You're not my son!" to which Larry laughs and says, "That's funny, my dad used to say the same thing." before crying again. His friend introduced Larry and said that he's going to be having dinner with them and adds that it's time to start.

Happy Sad Larry

Happy Sad Larry?

Soon, everyone is sat at the table and starts to pray which his friend insists Larry lead. Larry starts off a normal dinner pray to add that he could do without his dad being on his death bed and wanting a place to live. His friend immediately cuts Larry off and finishes the normal prayer. His friend starts to ask his father about the hospital when the phone rings. His friend goes to answer it and immediately comes back announcing that it's the hospital and they want to put Larry on the phone with his dad. For the only time so far, Larry looks happy but it immediately drops when he takes the phone. On the other end, he hears his dying dad's voice say that it's all Larry's fault before he flat-lines. In the background, you can hear a doctor say "Is it the old man that's alone on Christmas and another correct "No, it the one with the worthless son."

His friend eagerly asks for the news but getting no response, asks Larry if he could help him out once he's done crying. The family resumes conversation while Larry launches into a vivid flashback of the accident, which really was Larry's fault. Pulling Larry out of the flashback Larry's friend states "I wouldn't do that, would you, Larry?" Larry snaps out of it and answers no despite not hearing the question. This turns out to be the wrong answer as the whole family becomes offended and his friend kicks Larry's plate in his face before kicking him out.

Larry tries in vain to fix his mistake before turning around, revealing that Larry is currently wheelchair-bound, before wheeling out and falling off the porch landing face first in the snow. Larry starts crying before being run over by a snowplow.

Sad Larry in Love[]

In Sad Larry in Love, Larry is first seen watching a romantic movie in the theatre, surrounded by couples. The movie appears to mock lonely people, almost directly targeting Larry for being alone. Larry leaves the theatre disheartened to find a sad-looking woman standing alone in the rain. He offers her his umbrella which she accepts before going off with someone else.

Larry goes home and attempts to join a dating website but as soon as he likes a woman's profile, he is banned for harassing users.

Sad Mary

Larry then takes a walk through the park, coming across more couples, human and animal alike, including a robber and who was initially the victim. He keeps walking to the diner where he takes a seat at the counter, staring sadly at his breakfast. Suddenly, he overhears a scene similar to Sad Larry with a female counterpart named Sad Mary. Larry calls Mary over and attempts to recreate the scene from the movie. However, Mary, who thinks Larry was making fun of her, proclaims "I'm sick of this shit! God damnit!" before kicking his breakfast in his face and storming off.

Larry starts crying on the table when his phone goes off with a message from the dating site showing that he has been matched with himself. Larry throws his phone away and starts crying harder.

Sad Larry's Sad New Year[]

Larry, while at a New Year’s party, walks out onto the balcony, depressed. Then, a woman walks out to her balcony and is depressed, the same as Larry. They look at each other for a bit and they both smile a bit. Then the woman blows Larry a kiss, but Larry has a hard time catching it until after falling, he puts the kiss mark on his cheek. But a partygoer states that this is why nobody loves him and kicks the cake into Larry’s face. Then another partygoer takes the kiss mark from Larry’s cheek and puts it on his cheek. Then Larry sobs as the party are still going.

Sad Larry's Day Off[]

Larry works part-time at a supermarket, only to be greeted by the tie guy, who informs him about his birthday party. But Larry doesn't care and the tie guy kicks grocery items into his face, including a birthday cake.

Later, the tie guy tells the others that Larry isn't coming to his own birthday party, while Glad Gary shrugs it off and they party anyway.

Sad Larry Begins[]

Sad Larry Baby

Baby Sad Larry

It is revealed that Larry has been sad the day he was born, crying so much that he cannot stop. This discourages Mr. and Mrs. Larrison, with the latter having given up drinking for three months just so she could give birth to Larry. It is also revealed that the Tie Guy was born around the same day, dancing and kicking a baby bottle into Larry's face as he kept crying and his parents bicker and argue.

Sad Larry Buys Happiness[]

Sad Larry is seen watching a video from Tie Guy about finding happiness which results in a list of the following four:

Change your environment, Self-Care, Take a vacation, and Find love.

Larry recieves a knock on his door, and a man speaks to him of his family making a retreat without Larry, and being killed by bears. Because of his being in a family of 400 members, he recieves all of their money as heritage as he is the only family member left. A party banner appears reading "CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR LOSS" as Larry is handed a check of millions of dollars and millions of cents. Larry begins to cry but then realizes that he is now a millionaire, and starts writing off the things on his check list.

He buys a mansion to change his environment, using drugs to make himself smile as a form of self-care, going on a jetski ride as a vacation, and marrying a girl in a bikini to find love, only to be handed divorce papers shortly after. He eventually checks off another box reading "kill a rare animal," and he is seen with numerous decapitated heads of rare animal species, however he is still sad, and says that there is only "one thing left to try" as another head-board is labelled 'THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME'.

He invites Tie Guy over to his mansion as an attempt to kill him, but can't bring himself to do it, so he instead has some turkey dinner with him. He eventually gives all of his fortune to Tie Guy since money couldn't make him happy. Tie Guy is exhilerated with this news and informs his family, who are revealed to have been living in the walls. Larry begins to cry, and Tie Guy kicks the turkey dinner in Larry's face. Larry, now with a turkey on his head, begins to cry harder.

Harry The Handsome Butcher: Part 5[]

Sad Larry is revealed to have now been working as a Circus animal, the same circus where Harry the Handsome Butcher applied to. Larry was labelled as the Saddest Man in the World, and recalls his memories and attempts of being happy, only to fail again, and again, and again. When Harry attempts to befriend Larry, they are suddenly captured by Silly, being taken to Planet Silly.

Planet Silly: Part One[]

Larry wakes up on Planet Silly, where he meets with Harry the Handsome Butcher, the Tall Boys, and Airplane Dad, who find Silly's house, which takes the shape of a circus funhouse. Larry is taken into a door which shows him how his family were mauled by bears, claiming that this was still "better than being with Larry," which makes him cry. He suddenly ends up with the others in front of a large birthday cake when Silly appears.

Planet Silly: Part Two[]

Larry is kicked out of Silly's house. However, while walking around, he finds Silly's family's graves, making him realize that he was kidnapping people because he was lonely. He heads back to the party and tells Silly that he feels what Silly feels, causing Silly to hug him. In the end, after the party was done, Larry and the rest of the people kidnapped headed back to Earth. When Larry tells his story to his therapist, he tells him that he actually feels happy now. When he says it was due to clown magic, his therapist kicks a fruit bowl into his face. Later that day, Larry walks downtown with a smile on his face.

Due to his depressive nature, sad Larry is very pessimistic and tends to refuse offers from others, like the Tie guy dance in Sad Larry or your invitation to have fun at a party (without realizing it was your birthday party) in Sad Larry's Day Off.

Despite being sad, Sad Larry still shows that he wants to find happiness, which is what he tries to do in Sad Larry in Love and Sad Larry Buys Happiness

In Sad Larry Begins, it is revealed that Sad Larry has been sad since his birth, and the doctor declared that he was sad for no apparent reason. As his parents also appear to be as sad and depressed as he is, his sadness may have a genetic origin.

However, as of Planet Silly: Part Two, Larry can finally smile.
